About The Program

Shooting for Peace, founded by NBA Legend Jerome "JYD" Williams, in partnership with Swiirl, is a multi-year, multi-city initiative spanning 40+ cities across North America. We've expanded beyond basketball to include soccer through our partnership with the US Soccer Foundation and Major League Soccer (MLS), empowering youth through essential life skills and creative expression.

Our approach begins with district-wide virtual "chalk talks" featuring Jerome and program sponsors, engaging entire school districts in comprehensive financial literacy and mental health & wellness education. Through our gamified campaign, students become content creators, showcasing their journey and talents through the arts, content, music remixing, and sports creativity.

Leveraging Swiirl's technology, we activate communities across North America, culminating in the selection of 1-3 schools from each district for exclusive in-person experiences - from basketball games with Jerome to soccer events with MLS partners, creating unforgettable moments that inspire lasting change.
